Recently, we had a visitor (Monique) at our home. Not only she sailed across the Atlantic and has a lot of stories to tell, she also wanted me to assist her on her business trips around the area. This is where I found real treasures.
With the onset of spring, I’ve just bought something necessary, to increase my chance of survival for the next month.
At this point, I would like to give many thanks again to Sabrina, who made me a special gift. I love wearing the cute socks with candy colors which she knitted for me 🙂
The last week, I spent some time travelling with some friends from home. Our destinations were spread all over Québec. The week was an outdoor adventure filled with city sightseeing, action in the snow, love in the air and the best company with good friends!
Since two month, my worklife is no longer the way I was used to. This is mainly due to the fact, that I still have to wait for my working visa. However, I do have a different sort of work routine each day.
At saturday night a real wonder of nature kept us awake. We left the town up north to watch the northern lights (aurora borealis).
I always enjoy to receive news and messages, regardless in which way. Nowadays, of course, via email, short text messages, phone or via post mail. However, the latter (means: letter) is rather unlikely.
Last weekend we spent some nights in the forest again. Another weekend without electricity and without water but with friendly people, fondue, some sauna time and a new adventure for me: Iceclimbing.
I arrived six weeks ago and it’s time for a short recap, especially about the language.
Although I spoke a little bit French before my arrival, I knew it is the everyday language here and it will challenge me, during the first weeks…
