Happy days
I always enjoy to receive news and messages, regardless in which way. Nowadays, of course, via email, short text messages, phone or via post mail. However, the latter (means: letter) is rather unlikely.

Last weekend we spent some nights in the forest again. Another weekend without electricity and without water but with friendly people, fondue, some sauna time and a new adventure for me: Iceclimbing.
I arrived six weeks ago and it’s time for a short recap, especially about the language.
Although I spoke a little bit French before my arrival, I knew it is the everyday language here and it will challenge me, during the first weeks…
I have to admit: I miss to eat bavarian food. Not necessarily in the beginning, but after five weeks of other meals, there is especially one thing I really miss: Brezn. Yesterday we had our 11 years anniversary and I knew, I wanted to prepare something special for that day. I googled a lot of recipes and hoped, that I will find one, that comes close to the Brezn, I know from home. For my first try, I think it turned out very well and on top, it has a taste, that reminds me home. Et voilà – Ready for serving!
A new month has begun and a new project, too. While I must wait for my working-visa, I use the time to knit and purl a lot of stitches. I intended to knit a colourful blanket and I hope that I will succeed, because I am not quite used to knit. To start off, I therefore bought some merino yarn in colours Amethyst, Aubergine, Fern Green, Periwinkle, Silver Cloud, and Navy blue that I found at the Knitca-Store. Tomorrow, we will spend almost 7 hours in the car, to drive to Montréal. This time, I’m happy to have a long drive, cause I can knit a lot on my blanket.
